The product is now live and is enhancing the money management experience of Indian Millennials. I have gone into the depth of user research, building features, testing with users, and conceptualizing the product.

About the project

The Challenge

AI-based advising is an investment solution that has grown in popularity in recent years all around the world. The concept of automated finance, while having access to tailored services and money tracking, is quite appealing, particularly among Millennials and Generation Z. The majority of Indian Millennial Consumers have minimal understanding of money management prior to making an investment. Investment advice is generally provided by friends, relatives, or bank relationship managers.

As a result, engagement is fragmented and relevant information is missing,  complicating the decision making for the user.

The solution

The designed version of the app provides a simple ad insightful investment approach to Indian Millennials. so that they can make sound financial decisions. It enables the user to make investments as per their risk score. The solution allows the user to understand where they stand, set life goals and compare life scenarios, track investments and to choose from curated investment instrument options.

Secondary Research

What are the current options in the market?

A total of 10 platforms were qualitatively analyzed in terms of user experience, structure, content, and visual design in order to get insights into the current digital solutions available on the market. Following this research, we were able to identify best practises, evaluate some navigation trends, and forecast potential prospects for the product. 

The main navigation patterns noticed during the benchmark analysis include the use of "One page, one action", separating fund list and portfolio management with the rest of the features.

User Research

Who is going to use the app?

The webapp serves as the primary digital touchpoint for the many services offered by koshex, several User Personas were created to determine which specific demands and pain points should be addressed. We learned a lot by interviewing real customers about their experiences and consumption habits when it came to investing in mutual funds, calculating expenses, and monitoring their portfolios.

How will app accommodate user journey?

The information and options provided in the app should relate to the user's needs and goals at every given point in the user journey. As a result, it was critical to understand how the app will react to these changes in an organic way so that the interaction may continue to run smoothly in all cases of use.

Visual design

Communicating brand through user interface

The initial step in beginning the visual design phase of the project was to create Koshex's brand book. The goal was to incorporate the same notions that the brand wished to portray into the User Interface design. In this scenario, portraying the app as Friendly, Fun, and Trendy was made feasible by visual design decisions such as the use of neomorphic patterns, large, brilliant colour panels with geometrical patterns and rounded corners in various elements such as buttons and cards.
